It's almost as if the 9900X doesn't provide the core count through the CPUID 0x8000001E. I've added some debug statements outwith this check to confirm and added a fallback. Please test and report with the OC log. Thanks.

Ok leave that quirk enabled. The issue doesn't seem to be related to the AMD code within OpenCore but rather the MP services. I've adjusted it in this version and reverted the AMD code back to what I had originally.

I don't understand. Three different caclulations and still the wrong core count. Can you test something for me @Alex4querty? I don't think it'll boot but try disable the ProvideCurrentCpuInfo quirk and send the log. I'm wondering if this is the cause.

I don't see anything that would cause this panic in your EFI. Try using SMBios MacBookPro16,3 or iMac20,1. Also I'll assume you've got display plugged into the Motherboard not the Nvidia GPU. I'd also test with this removed. You may need to create an SSDT to disable the GPU as the bootarg may...

I assume Windows is reporting the correct core count? I'll revisit this later tonight and upload a new version to test. @fabiosun if you could also test just to be sure it still works on other chips too.

What do other systems report for the core count? Windows, Linux?

Unsure if it would affect the OC logs reporting 14 cores but your kernel patches were set to 1C (28). I've set it to 0C (12) please try again.

So this is reading the cores directly from the CPUID and still not working. It’s strange. Can you share the EFI please.

Confirmed to still work on 9950x. Just need the problematic 9900x to test it now.

Appreciate it. Can this build be tested on both CPUs please. Preferably using a USB just in case it doesn't boot. Please provide a OC Log.

You should be able to run this on a live USB of Linux too.
