    Updating from 11.5.1 to 11.5.2

I am being prompted to update BigSur to version 11.5.2 and just wondered if there are any issues I should be aware of before proceeding?

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

Still cannot get the upload speed to improve however, airdrop is working, or at least it works from my phone to the computer but not computer to phone which is fine for me. So I have ethernet connected for upload/download and just use wireless for airdrop.

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

Ok so it gets even weirder now. I restored my EFI and rebooted and that was ok. Then I only removed the two BlueTooth kexts and itlwm. Rebooted and connected via wifi but now all my passwords for everything are being rejected! All my email accounts etc, nothing works. By the way, I also...

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

I have always had a bit of an odd-ball system. I will have a play and see if I can get it to boot.

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

Strange thing. When I removed those kexts and restarted, it would not boot. Only got a black screen with the Apple logo. I always keep a clone drive handy so it's not a big deal but it is strange?

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

Thanks. I have a feeling there may be something in my EFI that is causing the problem. These are the Kexts I currently have in the EFI. I assume I need to remove the IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext and the IntelBluetoothinjector.kext and also the itlwm.kext?

WiFi Upload Speed Very Slow With Broadcom Card

The motherboard is a Gigabyte B540 I WiFi Pro and up to now, I had been using the built-in wireless card (intel) with Heliport for my Wifi. Upload and download speeds were fine but I wanted to use AirDrop and iMessage and I understood that these would work better with an Apple-compatible...

Processor Unknown and Serial Number Default String?

I have just recently managed to install BigSur and for the most part, everything is working fine. However, I noticed that whereas in Catalina my system showed as a MacPro 2017 and Core i5, it now shows processor unknown and serial number as "default string". Has anyone else come across this issue?

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Ok got BigSur up and running. I had to use a spare SSD formatted to macOS extended journaled. Nothing else would work. The only problems I have now are my apple id won't work for AirDrop and messenger, etc. I can put my details in, I get sent a code to my phone but when I enter that on the...

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Interesting thing. As nothing was working I thought I would just do a clean install of BigSur? I created the boot USB with BigSur, copied your EFI to it and tried to boot from the USB stick. At first, it would not get past the Aorus bios logo. So I went into the bios and disabled CSM. It then...

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

This doesn't seem to be moving along. Nothing I try seems to work. Constantly stuck at the black screen and apple logo. Yet it boots into Catalina just fine. Long shot but is there anything in the bios I should be changing?

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Thanks. I tried that but it is still the same. :( The only consistent difference between my system and others who have the same motherboard etc is the graphics card. I can't see why that would be a problem since my card is compatible with BigSur but perhaps it is a possibility?

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Well, that didn't work. Got the same black screen with the Apple logo as all the other times I have tried the update. I just can't understand why this doesn't work. In the image below you can see my boot screen before I choose which drive to boot from. The 'Catalina' drive is the one with your...

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Thanks. First I am going to try a normal update from Catalina to BigSur. I know it won't boot but, I have two drives, both with exactly the same copy of Catalina. So I can then mount the EFI from the BigSur drive, change it for your EFI and then try and boot again. I always clone my drives so if...

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Just. quick thought. How would I "upgrade" from Catalina with your EFI? I am thinking perhaps boot to Catalina, mount the EFI and replace it with yours, plus my serial etc. Then run the BigSur update. Is that likely to work or is the only way to do a fresh install from USB?

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

Thanks so much for taking the time to do that! The NVRAM data is in there. I will give it a try and let you know how it goes.

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

So how did you go about upgrading to BigSur? Every time I have attempted it I just end up with either a black screen or a black screen with the Apple logo on it.

Upgrading from Catalina to BigSur. Never seems to work.

I currently run Catalina 10.15.7 which mostly runs fine. The only thing that doesn't work is AirDrop but I can live without that. I would like to upgrade to BigSur and I have tried this several times before but always seem to get stuck on the Apple logo on a black screen and cannot get any...

Is it possible to get Bluetooth & Wifi working on a B450 I AORUS PRO WIFI?

Thanks for the suggestion but I am not quite sure I understand? I can go to System Preferences/Network but there are no other System Preferences after that. Or did you just mean System Preferences/Bluetooth? And turn what connections off? There is nothing in the Bluetooth options other than...
