Sleep is now fixed. Set the Wake events to Bios and enable wake from usb otherwise only the power button will wake the computer. Apple watch unlocking works sometimes. I'm not chasing it though.
I have added support for LSI 9211/9212 SAS controllers as I have a third NVME to install, and I want...
What setting did you use in bios for sleep? Bios controlled or OS
I have OS controlled and sleep works perfectly for me, I haven't used your EFI though, I'm using my own (found in success stories section of this forum).
I however have to push the power button on the case to wake the computer...
@binauraloptions is right, it really isn't difficult.
Really is just a matter of using gibMacOS or a real mac to download the installer, then you use the same suite to create the installer (I'm assuming your on windows right now). Once the stick is created, you'll need to copy the efi to the...
You mean swapping the RX 5700 XT with the RX 580 in my eGPU - yep been there, done that. Its the MSI RX 5700 XT. The micro freezes disappear when I swap to the less powerful GPU. I will switch to the above 4g decoding thing a bit later when I'm not working on the machine. Because I have two...
Perhaps program an arduino to configure the RGB each boot, completely bypassing the motherboard. Plug it into a usb header and tell macOS to ignore it. In windows when you want to change the RGB colour, reprogram the arduino. They are perfect for D-RGB, as they're a 5V signal, just like D-RGB...
I don't do step by steps. I did the googling, research and that kinda thing to get my setup going. You can to. Its not that hard. besides, this is a Cat/Big Sur stick. And once you get it installed, if you don't learn how it all works, you won't be able to maintain it if you don't know what each...
No need - I have a working one, posting from it now. Everything works, even sleep!
I'll post it up once I've had some sleep. It'll be stripped of Serial/MLB/Rom etc, and have usbports.kext disabled. There are a few more checkes to do regarding bluetooth to try and get apple watch unlock...
Your not the only one to have this happen. It happened to me with an apu swap to a 3600X. Best way to remove the stock cooler I have determined is to heat up the cpu (use the computer and run a cpu benchmark) with the side off, then shut down, and unclip the cooler, and gently twist. This breaks...
Where do I find SVM and what did you set yours to. I have the latest bios. (edit: checked bios, under OC, Advanced CPU Features). SVM is disabled.
Would you mind posting the revised EFI with your serials etc redacted?
When you reverted, did you keep the experimental AMD patches, or put the...
Yep this - I got the terminology mixed up.
My apologies for the slow reply. I've been troubleshooting getting big sur to install. I gave up and will wait till it is released by apple, and thus guides are available for me to follow.
I have NO devices plugged in, I have a genuine apple wireless keyboard with keypad and the magic trackpad 2. I tried sleep by plugging in my monitors usb hub, and sleep fails.
So I leave it unplugged. There are 2 ports on the front of my case which is enough and if I need more, I borrow the...
Opencore 0.6.0 has been released. The following EFI contains a working OC 0.6.0 for this board
Serial number and MLB etc are redacted, use your own
USBPorts.kext is disabled, and the port limit patch is enabled. If you already have a working usbports.kext, drop it in and re-enable...
Yes best to create your own EFI folder for the sticks. By all means, use mine as a guide, but using this (for example) 3 months down the track means you'll get an outdated bootloader and kexts, and none of the leatest fixes that come with each opencore release.
No, but what I do get is the occasional freeze - usually lasts for about 5 seconds. Only happens in Chrome, I can switch to other apps e.g. FCP or Mail, and work with them even while Chrome is hung up. Its not really an issue, as it only affects navigation - if I am watching a Youtube video for...
Thanks to your files (the ACPI ones) along with Hackintool (to remove some redundant ports), I got sleep to work. I used your SSDT-XHC-Full.aml file to get the ports renamed, along with your SSDT-EC-Custom.aml, then I rebooted. After that, I fired up hackintool, and removed the Mystic Light, and...
