That GPU is the Mars family and is not really supported in MacOS. Device ID 0x66601002. You could try using fake device ID 0x68101002 or others found in the kexts. Some people have reported them to working using older OS versions. I have a similar laptop i7 Haswell with a HD8730m...
The integrated graphics won’t work so you will only have 7mb of support on default VESA drivers. If you don’t need to use it for anything demanding it may work. My 2400g and Athlon 3000g work for browsing and to get audio to function I use Chrome for YouTube.
I think the Dortania guides for AMD says to disable those. Like I said it may not be necessary for all users. Either way it’s hackintosh we should explore all options.
Thanks, I currently don’t have any issues with booting. The Dortania guide recommends like other guides to set bios to CSM disabled and 4G disabled. I can enable both without issues, or disable as well. I guess my point is that some people may need to disable for their particular...
Yes, the 4G and npci= argument for me I can do either. I guess some motherboard and CPU combos don’t like the 4G in MacOS. I can use it without any side effects as long as I dont use the npci argument. The same with CSM disable I can use it or not use it.
XFX has a history of making cards with incompatible bios. There are some XFX 580 cards that have a bad bios, their RX 460-560 don’t work either. The FatBoy RX 590 has the same issue.
I have a reference XFX RX 480 and it has always been fine but a few of their top tier cooler cards have bad...
RX 480/580 if you can find one.
don’t get a RX 580 2048sp the bios won’t work. These are a Chinese market version that is fine in windows but won’t work in MacOS unless you flash the bios.
Use the latest patches as well and disable one of the fixPat? patches.
My 5900K had similar scores until I updated, the Audio was out of synch as well.
AMD USB Port Custom Mapping Mini Guide.
This is a basic simple guide to create a custom USBPorts.kext or SSDT for your AMD motherboards. There are other methods like USBMapping.kext etc., but this guide is mainly focused on the USBPorts.kext. It has been pointed ou that all the guides out...
I have a Gigabyte B550 Aorus Pro AC and it has a TB header. The bios lists it and allows for setting memory allocation for it. I am planning on picking up a PCIe Thunderbolt card to test soon.
Heres a bluetooth that works. Of course you may start to run out of USB ports, lol!
Heres a link to the utility to install USB T3U drivers. chris1111/Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter - GitHubgithub.com › chris1111 › Wireless-USB-Big-Sur-Adapter
I picked up a TP Link T3U USB for $25.00 US it outperforms my PCIe BRCM94360 card. I used Chris1111 Big Sur Wifi utility. My 4360 rarely gets 100mbs. If this is available for you it works great for the price.
The 1560 will require kexts for wifi and bluetooth.
