My system freezes and audio stutters, requiring a reboot

I've had an issue come up the last three days that has been puzzling me. For the most part, my system has been running well, but the last couple days, my system will suddenly freeze. I lose all keyboard and mouse control and audio will stutter and play the last sound repeatedly. All three...

    Fine Tuning ASRock B450M Pro4

I have the same mobo and have the same issue if Above 4G is enabled. I don't know the reason why, but as a workaround, I have that setting disabled and added "npci=0x2000" to the boot args in config.plist.

    AMD USB Port Mapping

USB port mapping isn't necessarily a panacea for getting sleep to work. From what I can gather, sleep functionality is hit or miss on AMD even if your USB ports are mapped. Nevertheless it might work... Technolli, a youtuber, has an easy to follow USB port mapping tutorial. Just ignore the...

Is there a way to show which version of OpenCore is running?

While I was upgrading from OC 0.6.0 to O.6.1, a question occurred to me: Is there a tool or CLI command that can tell me which version of OpenCore is running on my system? While I am reasonably sure that I performed the upgrade correctly, I'd be interested to be able to confirm that OC 0.6.1...

I need help to enter the world of Hackintosh

Hackintoshes require a lot of trial and error, that is the nature of trying to install an OS onto hardware it wasn't meant to be installed on. Its highly unlikely that everything will work correctly. The only way for everything to work correctly is to get a real Mac. The OpenCore guide...

BT not working with MacOS BCM94360NG

I dunno if this will work for you, but when I initially started, all USB2 functionality would not work on my motherboard. I couldn't get port mapping to work correctly. Since my adapter card needed to plug into an internal USB2 header, I couldn't get bluetooth working. I forgot which SMBIOS I...

BT not working with MacOS BCM94360NG

I simply use an adapter because my motherboard didn't have an M.2 A+E slot for a wifi adapter. Since your motherboard has a dedicated M.2 slot for wifi, I wouldn't buy the PCIE adapter card I use. I suspect that your problem is a configuration issue, not a hardware issue. Alas, I don't have...

BT not working with MacOS BCM94360NG

I'm not sure that's the OP's issue. From what I can tell, OP replaced the motherboard's original M.2 wifi adapter with an BCM94360NG. I also have the same BCM94360NG, but it is installed in a M.2 to PCIE adapter card. There is no USB header on the BCM94360NG card...the usb header is on my...

Yes, you can dual boot with windows. Its best to have Windows 10 and MacOS on separate hard drives. I recommend you disconnect the Window 10 hard drive first before install MacOS, so you don't accidently screw up your windows hard drive. After you get MacOS up and running, then you can...

[SOLVED] After upgrade to OC 0.6.0, ethernet doesn't show in network prefs

After searching several sites, I didn't find any others with the exact same issue, but it gave me some ideas to try. From the OpenCore Guide, Post Installation, Fixing iMessage section, I found my solution. I reset MacOS to rebuild the network interfaces fresh. I simply used Terminal to enter...
