Trying to find a good way to USB map

That sound good! Yeah I know the default SSDT is crap but that's why I wanted to find a guide on how to make proper one. And as there are so many I always got confused as to which one is good. For some reason my compressed EFI is too large. Probably because of the OpenIntelWireless kexts. But...

Trying to find a good way to USB map

OK @AudioGod it all works!! Thank you very much! I forgot to reset NVRAM, didn't see that bit until now. But otherwise all USB work! All at the rated speed. How did you make that file you sent? Do I even need to make a new SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml? Because of optimization reasons etc.?

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Should I remove the stock SSDT-EC-USBX-DESKTOP.aml file? Or does that still need to be there?

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Thanks! I think ASM107x is the USB 2.0 device that controls my H115i. What does the SSDT-USB Reset kext do? Do I need that in my EFI? I also hit the Reset All Detected Ports on USBMap and hit discover ports again. Here's another pic:

Trying to find a good way to USB map

So here's a screenshot of when I select discover ports: do all the USB ports show up? Or are there some missing?

Trying to find a good way to USB map

So does that mean my USB 3.0 ports in the rear are not recognized at all? Or am I understanding it wrong?

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Okay, that's interesting to know. At least all my 10Gbit ports work, that's good. But with the script should I just hit create USBMap.kext and see what comes out? That seems pretty banal.

Trying to find a good way to USB map

I wanted the Formula because of the crap-ton of ports and the 5Gbit LAN. But sadly both didn't pan out as I thought it would. I had originally planned to go with a Gigabyte X570 Aorus Xtreme Rev1.1 when it came out (it has that ever so sweet TB3 header since 1.1, and iGPU had reported...

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Yep experienced that first-hand. The USB situation is a mess, I must admit. If you look in my success story, you'll see all the little problems that my USB ports have been emitting. It would be too tedious to elaborate it all again in this thread.

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Hi thanks for the suggestion! I've seen this script before (even downloaded it), but I'm not too sure what to do with it. How do I use it properly to map? Would you be so kind as to elaborate? The Github doesn't provide such a good step-by-step documentation.

Trying to find a good way to USB map

Hello everybody, I've still been in the setup phase of my computer for the longest time, as I haven't found the patience to properly set up the last few steps to get my Hackintosh that last bit complete. I've seen quite a few techniques to properly USB map, and as I want to do thoroughly and...

Why does a NVRAM Reset wipe GRUB from the boot menu?

Hello everybody, As some of you might know, I’ve got a triple boot system running with macOS 11.4 and Manjaro Linux 21 running in their own 1TB partitions on my NVMe SSD. Windows is own 500GB SATA SSD, but that’s not relevant here. What I‘m having a hard time solving is the following...

How to get Optical Audio to work in macOS!

This might be a pretty banal post, but it might get rid of some confusion for those who are scratching their heads when trying to get sound through their S/PDIF ports. I have already covered this on my success story, but as not everyone would have read it, I thought I would cover it separately...

Is my PC hardware able to install hackintosh

Please ask a staff member to relocate this thread to the Sanity Check subforum. That avoids any unnecessary cluttering. As for your question please check the Anti-Hackintosh Buyers Guide. https://dortania.github.io/Anti-Hackintosh-Buyers-Guide/ I’m not sure about your CPU, that might be...

Really slow boot with black screen on Big Sur 11.4 Beta 2

Hello everyone, I have recently run into this problem when booting the Big Sur Beta 2. On startup the kernel loads really fast (verbose mode is enabled), and then the following black screen before the login screen is REALLY long, like at least half a minute to a full one. I have tried to use...

Solved The weirdest **** happened to me.

Well I haven‘t seen any Handoff functionality on my system until now, I have my iPad and iPhone close to my computer a lot of the time and I haven‘t seen any sort of Handoff stuff pop up on my dock in macoOS. This has only happened to my phone, and only when it was plugged directly into my GPU...
