I know..
i'm actually thinking of building a second 7950X system and I may just install 2x16 in each rather than 4x16 for this reason. I do not need 64 Gigs of RAM, but i assumed it was nice to have (this was before I learned that populating more than 2 DIMMs throttles the memory speeds on...
what is DRM?
I was going to use MacPro7,1 on my 7950/X670E build.. but now I am not so sure.
I'm going to be using 4 RAM sticks.. of 64 GB total.
am I gg to have to Map them in order for them to work properly with MacPro7,1? or is this just a cosmetic issue?
Does the sound issue fix if you disable the iGPU using SSDT while keeping iGPU enabled in BIOS. i rarely use windows but I would like to use the iGPU at least in Windows and enabling same in the BIOS every time is kind of a pain.
I had a blank screen when I 1st ran Photo Booth after my 5950X...
I have a fenvi T919 also on my X570 Creator / 5950X Hackintosh and Continuity Camera does not work (even tho five minutes or so after 1st booting into Ventura I got a message from MacOS about using Continuty Camera in Ventura.)
I was lead to believe that Continuity Camera only works on Intel...
I was mostly asking about the X670 Creator when I offered.. but.. I guess I am here to serve.. and learn.
I'm running Ventura on my X570. it's been a downgrade from Monterey for me. should I still proceed, or is this Gold Master for Monterey only?
Ahh the "good ol' days" -- I remember them well :D
I have an X670 Creator that I've been too lazy to build b/c I am still tinkering with my X570 Creator, I also have 7950X.
would it be helpful if I beta tested or do we know everything we need to from the systems already in use?
I have never...
Will OC Snapshot add the ResetNVRAM.efi to my Config.plist if it is in the Drivers folder? or Is there some more complicated procedure for adding it?
also, I only have a copy of ResetNVRAMEntry.efi in the "stock" OC 0.8.6 EFI I downloaded. is this the same thing?
Thanks again for yr help.
OMG ladies and gents...
we have Ventura 13.0.1
I think I suffered like 4 heart attacks while all of this was updating...
and I have lost access to my Windows 11 NVME (it won't boot)
but considering I had not booted (prior to today) into Windows 11 since sometime in July.. it hardly...
I think I have the same problem.
I was bored so I thought i'd face my fear of upgrading form OC 0.80 to 0.86 -- I cheated and used OCAuxiliaryTools to do this.
the process was very str8 forward and seemed to work fine.
the only thing I have lost is pressing spacebar at boot doesn't give me...
Will this work for X570 motherboards? I don't need my i225V for my 5950x Rysentosh, but it would be very nice to have.
does it require OC 0.85?
(iIm still using 0.80 and an too chicken to touch it b/c it is running rock, RCOK solid. )
I read thru the post and saw they included the 0805 bios for my X670 Creator too.. thanks for the link.
i've been lazy to build this system I have all the parts sitting on my test bench collecting dust. also I don't have a GPU.. i'm waiting on the 7000 series...
I think i'm going to go...
very sad about continuity camera. I have a Logitec Brio too so it's technically not the end of the world. I cant shake the feeling that the rear camera on the iphone 13/14 Pro Max is superior.
also, this was kind of the only feature I was interested in in Ventura.
FWIW I am using a Fenvi...
