Hi @scythelz,
Good to hear your system is working well! With regards to the screen blackout just before the login page, unfortunately I this also happens to my other systems as well (I have a Z690 board with RX6800 & a Z590I with RX6600 which has the same issue).
I suspect it may be something...
@jansir
Just letting you know that I've updated your EFI to latest OC 0.9.3 which also includes the latest AMD kernel patch. This was the main reason why you couldn't install Ventura.
Also because you had an older version of OC that still had the Bootstrap folder.
Also, I saw you had put the...
Hi @scythelz,
I've had a look at your build. It seems you were missing a few things in the EFI namely:
SSDT-HPET
SSDT-PLUG
SSDT-SBUS-MCHC
SSDT-SBRG
UEFI > Drivers > Connect enabled
OC Resources folder
boot-arg: agdpmod=pikera (for activating the RX6800)
I've made the changes to your EFI...
Well maybe (it's hard to tell). I've had TB2 based drives like the Drobo work off before okay on my TB4 adapter in the Asus. If you are have TB4 built-in on the motherboard you can use TB3 SSDTs also but ideally you need to use Maple Ridge SSDTs (connected or swapped for the right RP connector...
Right. I have a similar setup (Z690 Asus Prime P D4). In order to make the Thunderbolt work you ideally need a Thunderbolt 3 Titan Ridge card and running with two SSDTs - SSDT-TB3/HP and SSDT-DTPG. Once you've set it up properly with the DisplayPort cable on the end slot going into the DP port...
Okay try this one. It's been fully updated to the latest OC 0.9.3 added your SMBIOS details and I've made a number of adjustments including
removing some of your unneeded ACPIs. The kernel patch has also been corrected with the setting for your 8 cores (last setting was incorrect).
You could try adding the enable-backlight-registers-fix setting to the (spoofed) Intel Gpu device properties similar to @craigahazan’s build.
It needs to be a value of 01000000 set to type Data. That might enable the laptop’s backlight to work.
Okay guys,
I guess you all probably familiar with the general Opencore build so I won't say anything about the EFI. I had a brainstorm the other day and think what you are all missing from your setup is likely a SSDT-GPU-DISABLE. >...
You’re welcome. One more thing you could do before you go is to run ResetNVRAM. Run it first then reboot with the new EFI. That sometimes helps clear whatever settings that remains in memory which stops the system from booting up with the new configuration.
Just letting you guys know IntelBTPatcher has been fixed with regards to crashing (with Sonoma).

Hi Steve,
So I've had a quick look at your EFI. As I also have an AMD Ryzen APU setup, I do think I know what the problem is (as to why it's not booting up properly).
In your ACPI I see you only have SSDT-EC-USBX & SSDT-CPUR enabled. However I noticed some systems like mine (VCS) also need the...
@Jumper981,
Okay. I've looked at your EFI and from your specs I see three potential issues:
1) It seems you have unnecessary ACPI patches compared to other 7950 builds?
Were these generated by SSDTTime or not? If not please remove them, they may be conflicting and causing KPs.
2) You are...
Okay @shivamsnaik,
I've looked at your EFI and made a number of adjustments, please check below. To help simplify things I have based it on this EFI profile but using 6 cores.
One of the very first issues you should be aware of with EFIs is the SMBIOS settings. As yours is a laptop it's not...
What's the specs of your setup? Please add it in your profile. Also please post your EFI file if possible (remove all serials from PlatformInfo section).
@craighazan
Impressive stuff! Looks like the 4700G is a great processor!
I haven't been able to test it yet with the new HDMI version of Need, but I can tell you one thing - it hasn't been easy to get the audio going on this VCS.
I've tried to add in the values to the VoodooHDA as you...
Hi @shivamsnaik,
Okay. I see you are missing a few other kexts such as USBPort.kext and the npci=0x3000 boot-arg for the AMD IGPU. Did you create any custom USB maps at all? You will need them going forward.
As for other things I’d suggest you take a look at this here for another Lenovo...
Hi there,
Just had a quick glance at your EFI. It looks like you've enabled your USBX ACPI twice and an unneeded SSDT-UIAC (which is actually for the USBInjectAll.kext). This is probably why you have system power button/USB issues. You must only use SSDT-EC-USBX-Desktop.aml for the USB. The...
