@thecastic,
Had a quick look at your EFI. Looks like you may be missing a SSDT-CPUR.aml for the CPU & SSDT-HPET. You also don't have any Tools added into your OC/Tools folder. At the least you need ResetSystem.efi. Also you are using the wrong SSDT-EC-USBX for the embedded controller - you are...
As an ingenious cost-saving idea, someone has gotten an old Zen 2 Ryzen 5 4600G chip and turned it into a 16GB GPU for AI apps like Stable Diffusion by way of splitting the 32GB system memory which is shared with the IGPU...
Afaik there really shouldn't be any colour banding issues with the RX580 series since it is a supported GPU in macOS.
However it could be something to do with your configuration? Two things you could do though, first is check if EnableVectorAcceleration
is enabled under UEFI > Quirks and see...
@karmaPRN,
I should also let you know, make sure the SecureBootModel setting under Misc > Security is set to either Default or j160 MacPro7,1 to work on your setup.
Okay @adahox,
Try this build here, modified from my existing Ventura Gigabyte B550 build. You were missing a couple of ACPI settings plus kexts.
I have also added the PCI device-id for your RX470 (DF670000) plus your SMBIOS details so it should boot.
EFI is set to use USBInjectAll for the USB...
Hi @karmaPRN,
Check out my build here. I too have a Gigabyte B550 motherboard but mine is the Vision D, which is using a spoofed RX550 so the config is almost identical. I have already added your PlatformInfo & 6-core CPU details so it can be used right away.
The reason yours wasn't loading...
Hi @divarak,
Okay that's one of my older motherboards you're using so I can help you out here.
Looks like you are missing:
1) SSDT-PM.aml is needed for the power management. You'll need to create it post-install via this script > SSDT-PM (opens new window)
2) Not enabled Booter >...
The X670E GENE is a USB 4.0 based unit, so will need to use a SSDT-Maple Ridge-TB4 + SSDT-DTPG.aml for the ACPI folder to enable the Thunderbolt, but will need to use the correct RP port for the Maple Ridge file otherwise it may crash if the wrong aml file is enabled. If you use Hackintool...
There are a lot of things to consider regarding this question.
The first is that it is assumed that Apple no longer makes computers. That is absolutely not true. Apple makes more computers than anyone else even today. The only issue is that the devices are a lot smaller these days in the guise...
Okay. I saw you disabled USBPorts.kext. Why did you do that? That’s an essential kext. Btw you should also disable AppleCPUPmCfgLock & AppleXCPMCfgLock. They’re not required afaik.
@craighazan,
I believe you need the latest update of the beta version of Airportitlwm for Sonoma.
As for the BT am not so sure since it seems you already have the updated IntelBTPatcher.
No you sadly cannot. As it goes you can’t downgrade the type of Thunderbolt either ie. from TB4 to TB3. That’s not how they work.
With that in mind if you want a fully working TB3 setup the only option I believe you can take is to sell your current motherboard and replace it with one that has...
Okay. I assume you have a TB4 based motherboard? Ideally it should use something like SSDT-Maple-Ridge (which is a TB4 SSDT), but I can say from experience you can use SSDT-TB3 or SSDT-TB3-HP.aml for hot plug. Combined with a SSDT-DTPG your system should get some responses but only after...
