I installed Tahoe (upgrade of sequoia, not a fresh install) on an Asrock B660 machine (yes I know it’s Intel). It installed fine and boots into Tahoe, but all usb ports are dead. The machine dual boots windows, so I tried usbtoolbox in windows to map the usb ports. I put usbtoolbox.kext and UTBMap.kext into my EFI and updated config.plist, all ports are still dead. What am I doing wrong and are there any alternatives?
UPDATE: I’m seeing other reports online of people stating that all USB ports are disappearing after installing Tahoe on Intel hackintoshs. I’ve tried it on two Intel based machines, different chipsets, and the USB ports are disappearing. I can connect to the machines via screen sharing. Using hackintool, it shows no usb ports.
I tried installing Sequoia on an external SSD then mapping the ports using Hackintool, then putting the USBPort.kext into my EFI and config. No joy, Hackintool in Tahoe still shows no USB ports.
