The iGPU is 2 CUs of RDNA2, don't know how far similarities with RX 6000 series otherwise go.

Being "RDNA2" does NOT mean that the iGPU is "like" a desktop dGPU. Remember: MacOS supports RX6800/6900 (Navi21) and RX 6600 (Navi23) but not RX 6700 (Navi22) and no-one has yet managed to force support for RX 6700 from a driver which supports higher and lower tiers!
The pared-down iGPU is even much farther away from what macOS supports.

With latest leaks of Apple ComputeModules for the MacPro it will get less likely. 13.3 would have been the update to add drivers if they plan to release something with RX 7000 this Spring.

Yes we want :)

The rumor mill is really churning with talk of Compute Modules. MaxTech posted this video yesterday...

It's March 1 today (in this part of the world), so if a March event is coming it will be here soon...

I watched it yesterday. it's an interesting concept, but i'm not convinced. we shall see.

I’m also unconvinced. Although current MacPro has socketed CPU that can be upgraded, I’m not convinced Apple will allow entire SoC to be upgraded. The idea of creating an upgradable System on Package (SoP) in the form of compute modules seems rather far-fetched.

I would love to be wrong…

** New Jonsbo D31 mATX Case **
Coming Soon (Mid February)

...

Jonsbo has recently announced the new D31, which comes in both (a) mesh and (b) solid front panel versions (available now). In addition, models with an 8" high-resolution 162 ppi (pixels per inch) screen (1280x800) were also announced (shipping mid February). Available in both black and white.

Front screen is detachable and may be used on desktop as a second monitor. Uses HDMI connector. When screen is removed, a supplied replacement panel can be installed as shown:

The new D31 is slightly larger than D30 in all 3 dimensions for greater flexibility. Some notes:
  • D31 supports two 2.5" SATA SSDs versus three in the previous model
  • D31 has a proper USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps) front panel USB-C connector versus 5 Gbps in the previous model
  • D31 features all-metal construction versus plastic top cover in previous model
...
The Jonsbo D31 arrived and is partially assembled. The second screen works very well with macOS -- no glitches (so far anyway). I have iStatistica Pro running full-screen...

Screen is powered by a USB 2 port on rear IO and video is fed from HDMI on RX 6800.

Still playing around with different monitoring apps and backgrounds. Dark mode looks much nicer given the black color of the case (looks lovely in person). Too bad I cannot darken just the app.
