    How to fix cpu name?

My line for boot args now looks like this: agdpmode=ignore revcpuname="AMD Ryzen 5900X" Hackintool tells me that RestrictedEvents.kext is up to date and loaded, double confirmed by visiting the github page of acidanthera and checking the release section for the latest and its 1.0.9...

    How to fix cpu name?

My cpu is presently reporting as a Xeon W, when in reality it is a 5900X. Is there something specific I need to do in config.plist or a specific kext needed to solve this minor, cosmetic item?

    John's Asus X570 I Gaming EFI (Works on MOST Asus X570 & B550 Motherboards)

That message usually appears for two reasons - a brand new disk or a disk with linux on it - NacOS can read windows partitions just fine, a driver is needed (e.g. Tuxura) to write to them. Unlike windows, that message is meant to prompt you to fire up disk utility and have a look at your drive...

AudioGod's ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING - Big Sur & Monterey Beta - OpenCore 0.7.4 EFI

It wasn't that difficult - I used a Fenvi HB1200 from memory. It was originally in my MSI X570 ACE which stopped working properly for hackintoshing around Monterey, so I retired it to server duties and slapped a 5500 in it. You first (carefully) remove the plastic cover behind the I/O sheild...

AudioGod's ASUS ROG STRIX X570-E GAMING - Big Sur & Monterey Beta - OpenCore 0.7.4 EFI

I used your EFI, along with my Platform Info, set my cores, and removed your usb map and the 6950 SSDT, and dropped it onto a stick with a copy of monterey on it. I booted the stick, and just for shits and giggles, decided to see if my 1Tbv drive from my VM would boot (had the same platform...

    Fix CPU Name with RestrictEvents

I was just browsing topics in this subforum and this bugs me no end, "Intel Xeon W". Dropping this kext in to the kexts folder and referencing it in config.plist worked a treat. My cpu now shows up as the correct model (AMD Ryzen 3700X).

Help, Need to press Enter Key Several Times to show Login Screen

Is this happening when you wake the computer, or on first startup of the day? Mine requires 3 keypresses to fully wake the computer from sleep. The first powers on the tower, but not the display (remains in standby). Same with the second. With the third keypress, the display wakes and I either...

    Big Sur Beta 10

You obviously have something plugged in thats causing a wake event (perhaps a web cam or similar). My iWatch charger will prevent the computer from sleeping properly.

    Big Sur Beta 10

Might be lagg caused by spotlight indexing. Should go back to normal after a couple of hours, depending on how much stuff you have on boot volume.

Check the beta 8 --> 9 thread and the beta 7 --> 8 thread, there may be clues in how people got around the 12Gb download there.

    Big Sur Beta 10

Cool - mine went through ok as well. No issues :) As for yours tura999, I'm not sure why its doing that.

    Big Sur Beta 10

Has anyone updated to this version yet? I'm holding off until I have some positive feedback on what needs to be done to ensure a smooth update.

Success: 3700X, MSI MEG X570 ACE, RX5700XT (now with OC 0.6.1 and Big Sur)

Navi cards work. Nvidia don't, and never will until apple include them in their driver set (i.e. include them in a mac). Fenvi card should work out of the gate. Its natively supported.

    Big Sur Beta 9

My hack upgraded just fine, came here to check, just like I do with my xpenology box, before performing the update, and seems as long as you have the updated patches and secure boot disabled, it'll go smoothly. Beta 8 showed a black screen for the final phase, but I heard the email sound and...

    Big Sur Beta 8

I noticed with the latest patches that I get an OC error on booting, something about Arch. The first four patches have this statement. I remove the Arch lines and it went away. The machine still started fine with those erroneous entries, parhaps yours is coughing on that?
