Thanks for trying. I'm using IORegistryExplorer Version 3.0.2 (14).
But anyway, I kind of giving up to make these dual codecs work. I just figure out I will only use BT audio device on this Hackintosh. And including AppleAlc.kext even make the audio output unstable.
Have you disabled the whole NV GPU or only the audio?
I have a similar build with you but a different problem. My audio is not working either, but for a different reason.
I have a 3080 on my PCIe slot 1 and 5600xt on slot 3.
My problem is When I disable the NV GPU using the...
Here it is.
As the diagram I showed first, looks like one codec controls the rear IO and another controls the front IO and the big headphone jack.
Thanks for your help.
From the IOReg information, both of them are ALC1220. The only difference is CodecAddress. One is 0 and another is 1.
I'm also thinking about disabling one codec, but look like I have to make a choice between front IO and Rear IO. I'm using a speaker now. So maybe I will keep the rear IO...
HI, there. I read your guide for creating your own AppleALC.kext. But the I'm not sure AppleALC can support two layout id at the same time. Both audio codecs are at same PCIE path. How can I tell the kext which codec is which and use two different layout ids?
I know this is not a common situation, but I want to ask this out and in case some people have a similar problem in the future can find it easier.
This problem exists when you have two audio codecs on your motherboard. There are few mobos with this setting. I thought the reason for that is to...
I have a similar building to yours with a little difference. Dual GPU(3080+5600xt) but one monitor. This seems works fine for me. I have both cards activated in Win and deactivated 3080 in Hackintosh by config.plist.
Both GPUs connect to the monitor via HDMI, let's say 3080 with HDMI1 on...
I have done the USB map, and the NV card was disabled by config.plist. It's hard to remove, since the custom water loop.
I'm thinking It might be the USB IO name, which now I have SCHI XHC0 and XHC0. I will do the SSDT first to see if that works.
BTW, where did you find the guide to compile...
Good to know about the ACPI part. That's also kind of what I'm afraid.
But you said sleep works fine before the SSDT creation, I need to find other possible reasons for the sleep issue.
Anyway, thanks for your reply!
Hi there, good to see all stuff work on your hack, especially for sleep/wake. I had a similar build but with MSI MB and also a nvidia card for windows gaming. Now I'm on big sur and everything works fine except the sleeping. I have done the usb map but no luck. I read your description and...
I'm confused by the text on Github now. Which version of the patch should I use for the Big Sur? I notice the stable version also supports 11.x now. So do we still need to use the experimental patches to install/upgrade to Big Sur?
Do you know this will work on the mobo with 2 audio chipsets? Like MSI X570 GODLIKE. with 2 ALC1220. I'm so confused by the AppleALC.kext and want to modify it by myself. This is the only guide I found now...
