Hi,
There was no Serial info in the EFI.
I added one.
Secure boot needs to be disabled.
The original SSD in the machine will not work. It needs to be replaced.
Hello,
I have a strange thing on my Acer Laptop.
If RestrictEvents.kext is turned on.
Then the system settings will not start.
And no serial number.
If it is not turned on, it works, but it recognizes the processor as an Intel Core i5 six-core.
Any idea what could be causing this?
Most settings work, from Sonoma.
Even the IGPU. (nootedred.kext)
The sound is a bit crackly.
And no Wifi. (but I think it will be fine by the time the final version arrives)
Although the Video card is supported! (RX580 with macOS Sonoma system)
Both video cards can be used at the same time only with Nootedred.kext.
One screen is connected to the IGPU and the other to the RX580. :)
The BETA was installed in one day's work.
I got a kernel panic for the first time. (picture)
The solution to this was to delete the Device Properties settings.
Then NVRAM reset.
Reboot and gray screen.
The solution to this is to disable IGPU. NVRAM reset.
And since my language was set to my own...
Hello!
I have successfully installed both the Ventura and Sonoma systems on the laptop.
Laptop details in the description!
One thing I can't figure out is why the operating system only loads after 2-3 restarts?
Do you have any ideas?
The USB only works normally with GenericUSBXHCI.kext...
Update:
The system is now working properly, there are still a few settings missing.
For example, it freezes after startup, but if I turn it off and on, it works after 1-2 options.
The USB problem was solved by the following link: https://github.com/RattletraPM/GUX-RyzenXHCIFix
this is what you have to love.
The strange thing is that sometimes OSX only starts when I unplug the USB, but sometimes it is enough to press the right mouse button... :D
It's a nightmare compared to the desktop! :D :D :D But it's worth a try.
To my desktop PC, Sonoma went smoothly!
I haven't tested much at the moment, but it seems to work outside of Wifi.
Although it does not display the processor name well.
