Hey guys,

tl;dr - Reddit link found support in Catalina builds for Picasso (Vega RX 10 etc)....

Before I start, I have been googling this (and searching here), but was wondering whether this reddit is significant if you have a Ryzen 7 with a vega RX 10? I'e read here that the chipset won't work, but if Picasso is supported by Catalina, surely that will support the correct PCI ID?

As per my intro, I've worked with PostFactoring old Macs, but not with a true HAckintosh, so please excuse if I'm incorrect, but my research so far on the Ryzen 3700u is that the PCI ID of the Vega graphics is Picasso... Please do school me completely on the bits I'm missing here, as have tried my best to research before posting...

Many thanks in advance

None of those rumors ever materialized and as those posts write, those are only references but there is no actual driver support.
Since the announcement of Apple's switch to its own ARM CPUs there is little chance they'll ever support AMD APUs.

That's a very good point indeed. Perhaps it could be an extension of the desktop support, but perhaps that's a long shot given mobile integrated SoC? Guess it depends entirely on whether the ecosystem sits closely enough between the desktop drivers (which appear to have some support) and the mobile space...

Thanks kindly for filling in some of the gaps for me, my friend :)

p.s. Am new to non-old gen Apple hardware ( 2007 white MacBook running newer OS X/MacOS) hacking, so anything else you (and the community) can add will definitely be beneficial for me (and hopefully others too)... :)
