[Success] R7 3700X + ASUS B450M-PLUS GAMING + SAPPHIRE RX580

• M/B: ASUS TUF B450M-PLUS GAMING
• GPU: SAPPHIRE PULSE RX580 8GB
• RAM: 16GB DDR4-3200
• Storage: WD Black SN750 NVMe 500GB + Seagete BarraCuda SATA 3TB
• Ethernet: Realtek RTL8111H
• Wi-Fi/BT: Fenvi T919
• Audio: Realtek ALC887 + Focusrite Scarlett 2i2(USB Audio)
• Bootloader: OpenCore 0.5.9
• OS: macOS Catalina 10.15.5

Work:

• Shutdown, Restart, Sleep
• Ethernet, Audio, Wi-Fi, BT
• Most Continuity features (Universal clipboard, handoff, iCloud...)

Issues:

• AirDrop file transfer often fails (not always, and no problem when receiving)
• HEVC H/W Encoder doesn't work on Apple Compressor (works on another video encoding app, such as VideoProc)
• the SMC(SuperI/O chip) on most ASUS M/B isn't compatible with SMCAMDProcessor.kext (I can't controls fan speeds or monitor CPU temps via any software)

AMD Power Gadget and AMD Power Tools works properly except fan control section.
As for now, I don't have major problems using Apps such as Logic Pro X, Final Cut Pro X, Pixelmator, and so on...

I did nothing special, just followed Dortania's OpenCore Desktop Guide.
Make sure set your own MLB/ROM/SerialNumber/UUID.

Thanks! So you have no sleep problems? I see no USBPorts.kext in your EFI folder, so how are you mapping your USB ports? I have a problem with mapping XCH0 ports and had to disable XHCO and only use PTXH ports.

It sleeps and wakes healthily! I do nothing about USB too.
I recognize XCH0 ports have a small problem discussed on another topic, but except that I have no problems.

Thanks! So you have no sleep problems? I see no USBPorts.kext in your EFI folder, so how are you mapping your USB ports? I have a problem with mapping XCH0 ports and had to disable XHCO and only use PTXH ports.

On my Mobo I also did not have to "patch" usb ports as there were 4 usb controllers and they never went over 15 ports each. I just patched the names of the controller via ACPI patch for OSX to not have any conflicts and all of them are working fine at their rated speeds.

See "Change CPU name on Catalina" thread. You need to disable SIP, I couldn't disable it by changing NVRAM value in config.plist. I recommend Recovery mode method.

Hi! I got almost the same you did, only my motherboard is different, I got the ASUS ROG STRIX B550F GAMING (WI-FI) and I can't make this work. Your EFI gets stuck in the same place than mine. Did you change anything significant in the BIOS?

When booting up I see some errors:
...
ACPI Error: [_DSM] Namespace lookup failure, AE_ALREADY_EXISTS ...
...
ACPI Error: [\SB.PCI0.GPP8.VGA] Namespace lookup failure, AE_NOT_FOUND ...
...

Some more exceptions are being displayed too. By any chance did you run into something similar?
