Hello everyone,
After 4 days of battle, I managed to install Catalina 10.5.15.
I would now like to fix some things to optimize the system but I need help from you.

Below are the errors that I managed to identify in my system.

Boot: Open core on boot presents these messages (which I can't interpret)

After Login : At the Catalina opening, I present this error message regarding the Ram:

If I search in the system info, the following Infos are communicated to me.
Schermata 2020-07-07 alle 03.22.36.png

Here I see some errors, among which, the most obvious are the recognition of :
  • CPU as I5 8 Core ??, while I have a Ryzen 3700X.
  • Ram 2133 when my ram is 3200

In the end, I can't see Wi-fi (it's not enabled).

This is my Efi-DIr :

And attached you find is my config.plist

P.s.
The Geekbench 5.2 result are :
  • Single core : 1.222
  • Multi core : 7.522

Best Regard!

I want to apologize for my mistake in inserting this POST that was supposed to be in the forum dedicated to the POST INSTALLATION/
10.15 Catalina

.
I would like to pray to a Moderator or anyone who has the right to move the post (I don't know how).

Best regards and thank you in advance.

I also had the memory error message.
Here is the fix.
MacProMemoryNotificationDisabler
It is a Kext.

For the CPU name is, here is the fix tutorial.

And for the RAM speed, it is most likely the XMP profile in your BIOS that has not been set.

Thanks Slead, for the help!
I solved the problem of the memory message!
I'm ready to solve the problem of 3200 mhz of the RAM speed.

I was unable to resolve the CPU message (I followed the guide you indicated step by step), but nothing.
Patience!

Now I have discovered a new BUG that I can't explain, Catalina sometimes starts in HD resolution other times with the correct resolution of my monitor, that is 3440 x 1440. Some Idea?

The problem related at :
Boot: Open core on boot presents these messages (which I can't interpret)

and
n the end, I can't see Wi-fi (it's not enabled).

stay still open.

Best regards!

The problem with the resolution, I went through your config file and the only thing that I can suggest is the following.
In your boot-args, try adding keepsyms=1

As far as WiFi is concerned, here is the link for the kext.

Good luck.

Boot: Open core on boot presents these messages (which I can't interpret)

These messages mean there are settings in your config that shouldn't be there or are configured wrong. Check the OpenCore docs and run your config through this, https://opencore.slowgeek.com/

What WiFi chip are you using?

Hello Slead & Shaneee
Thanks again for the answers!
Only 2 clarifications:
- I have to insert boot-args by clover in the boot sections, but the situation, not change, when the system start that is random some time start in HD resolution, other times Catalina has the right resolution. Do other suggestions? (attached the new congif file)

- The link you gave me for wifi kext, points to the source, is there a version precompiled?

Thank you

I compiled it for you.

I am confused by your question, do you use clover or OpenCore?

Hello Slead,
I followed your instruction concerning the wifi.kext
After the download of file I have moved it in the EFI/OC/kexts
I add in the config.plist the drivers

When the system start no wi-fi are present and if I check on the root EFI partition I found a file :
opencore-2020-07-10-003555.txt
inside it the message :
00:000 00:000 OC: Prelink injection AppleIntelWifiAdapterV2.kext () - Invalid Parameter

I use OPEN CORE, I have done confusion with tooling to set the config.plist.
We haven't understood how to set the boot-arg to suggest from you: keepsyms=1

The only solution founded from me about the Resolution is to reboot some time the system and start only when the resolution is correct!
One extra info, if the OC boot-menu appear in the center of the screen it means low-resolution, in case the menu is on the left, the resolution of the screen will be High-resolution after boot.

Best regards!

Hello Shaneee,

after the adjustment done by: https://opencore.slowgeek.com/ of my config.plist, the system starts without error in the OC-boot ... great!

Now stay to fix the wifi!
The info related a the Wifi are :
Intel® Wireless-AC 9260
Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac
Supports dual band frequency 2.4/5 GHz
Supports MU-MIMO

Supports channel bandwidth: HT20/HT40/HT80/HT160

Best regards

Your config file seems fine tbh.
The only thing that did pop into my eye was in:
Kernel > Add
#4 USBPorts.kext here the ExecutablePath is missing
And the same is true with #7 AGPMInjector.kext, here the ExecutablePath is also missing.

Anyway, the only thing that I would suggest is to compile the wifi driver kext yourself, perhaps it made an error on my machine while compiling and I did not see it.
It is not difficult.
1. Download the source code ZIP file
2. Extract it
3. Open terminal and navigate to the extracted folder and run the following command
Code:
./scripts/build.sh && ./scripts/load.sh

If this does not compile it, try this:
Code:
sudo ./scripts/build.sh && ./scripts/load.sh
Here you need to enter your password of course.

good luck

Thanks again for your help.

Yesterday in 3 different people Catalina restarted on his own.

After the restart I received a report from Catalina explaining the reason for the restart, you can find it below:
