Computer is for Ableton Live to replace iMac 2013 which is slow for our needs. We are stuck on lagging which make sound cracking. Same configuration under windows are going well without problems and we can go to 32 buffer size without problem. Here on hackintosh ableton is still unusable with 512 sample rate. When we move mouse it cracking more. We have done some basic usb mapping - it not help.

PC configuration
AMD Ryzen 3900x
MB MSI B550 tomahawk
ASUS Nvidia GT710
M2 970 EVO 512GB Disk

Note:
1. we had to upgrade bios - installator screen was scrambled
2. we had to change amd kernel patch by this comment https://forum.amd-osx.com/index.php...-now-0-sm-0x0-with-gt710-gk208.1043/post-5430

try manually setting your M.2 and PCIe channels to the generation of the devices connected GEN3 or GEN4 if that is an option in your BIOS. Seems to have fixed so many issues for me recently rather than keeping it on AUTO.

I have already tested gen 3(not gen4) manual setup and AppleAlc, it didn't helped.

I have new information - progress!
I gave up mac and install windows 10 :) After setuping everything up, run ableton with our big project (around 130 tracks, 60GB, no problem in iMac 2013 on higher buffer size) cracking in sound is under windows 10 too.
I have bought cheap nvidia gt710 because I have thought that Ableton is not graphical application and not need some better graphic card. It is not true 3D load on GPU for ableton is 70-80%. It was same under hackintosh but I did not attach importance to it. When I changed GT710 with RTX2070 - cracking is gone under win 10.
There is one more important notice from this thread
https://www.gearslutz.com/board/mus...tter-amd-graphic-cards-3-card-comparison.html
and that is nvidia cards are not good for audio applications because they cause latency audio problems. Today we will have new GPU RX 5500 XT for tests. I hope that latency monitor app under win get much better results then nvidia cards a after it I will again test hackintosh installation.

Very Nice I am glad you have found the culprit!
