If you've altered S/L/E or L/E to install a kext for some reason and need to rebuild the permissions / caches in Big Sur, note that it's different to previous versions of macOS. Enter these commands to accomplish this.

sudo chown -R root:wheel /System/Library/Extensions/
sudo chmod -R 755 /System/Library/Extensions/
sudo kmutil install --update-all
sudo kcditto
