ProTools video engine not supported?

Hey everyone, I got a threadripper hack w a 2970wx ,gigabyte x399 designare ex and a radeon vii running catalina 10.15.7. The machine is mostly for resolve which has been working fine after being patched but Ive been trying to get some PT work done on it aswell. ProTools 2020.11 works fine except for the video engine which crashes everytime when enabled. I was wondering if this is a well known issue or if theres some sort of fix for it?

I tried going back to mojave but I could not get PT or quicktime 7 (which is what im guessing the 32 bit video engine is based on) to open. I read that there isnt necessarily 32bit compatibility on amd hacks.

Any input is highly appreciated thanks!

Over a month late but yes basically it's a known issue and no there isn't a fix for it I'm afraid, unless you'll consider running in KVM.
