OPENCORE MENU REACHED BUT NO KEYBOARD IN MOJAVE USB INSTALLER

I created an OpenCore USB installer for Mojave 10.13.6 using the Windows tools. After a lot of trials I have a USB installer with OpenCore 0.5.7 and all the necessary trimmings.
The problem is that I manage to boot into Opencore menu but I get stuck there. No Keyboard response. No matter what key I press (number or arrow) to boot the Mojave Installer (4 in my Opencore menu) or arrows (up nd down) to move to the proper menu entry, nothing happens.

Here is my Opencore stuff and config https://www.dropbox.com/s/dyhbtsfljazr2jh/OC.zip?dl=0

Any ideas of what is wrong?

thanks

UPDATE 1
Opencore seems a total crap for now (in my opinion) because it fails to boot the Installer even after following ALL the necessary steps laid out in the manual and in several installation instructions by various people. I spent 2 weeks trying to make a functional Opencore Mojave 10.14.6 installer (and one attempt of Catalina 10.15.4) and it all ended up to the same result: No keyboard after reaching the Opencore menu.
I finally gave up.

UPDATE 2
I am writing these updates from my new Mojave 10.14.6 Hackintosh. After a couple of days of experimentation I managed to build a functional Mojave Installer with Clover v5 r5116. I used XLNC's config.plist (with the 64 patches for the kernel) and some other adjustments particular to my motherboard (Gigabyte 990XA-UD3), like I used boot parameter npci=0x3000 and voila! The USB installer booted fine and I was able to install the Mojave onto a SSD disk. Followed the XLNC's instructions to circumvent the "Data & Privacy" constant reboot problem and now I have a (almost, because I experience some problem with powedown and reboot) working Mojave (Clover) AMD (FX-6300) Hackintosh.

I might try Opencore again on a later date if it becomes more mature. But for now I think I'll stick with Clover. Unless some person from the forum has some idea on how to solve my "no keyboard" problem.

Have you tried to plug your keyboard/mouse dongle to another usb port? I guess a USB 2.0 port will work.

It is on a USB 2.0 port. It seems it doesn't matter where I plug it in (USB 3.0 or USB 2.0).
There must be such strange incompatibility between my modo (Gigabyte 990XA-UD3) and Opencore. I have successfully Hackintoshed this PC for more that 4 years now (started with Yosemite and I am now (for almost 2 years) on Sierra 10.12.6 and works fine (except FaceTime) but I was unsuccessful on installing High Sierra and now Mojave 10.14.6.
I just hope that someone might have a similar mobo and have resolved the frozen keyboard problem or has some good idea.
Thanks for your reply.

I am waiting for more.

I have instructions on installing OS X and macOS on this PC and my Sony Vaio Laptop on my blog (kaneis.wordpress.com). If anybody needs info, is welcome.

@spykor I had a similar issue with yours on opencore 0.5.8 and after insanely editing the config files (which didn't work at all) I was almost giving up on the whole hackintosh thing (my first time). But then I changed the opencore.efi and BOOTx64.efi files with the ones in the opencore release zip rather than using the ones makeinstall.bat makes for you and it worked like a charm.

Thanks for the info. I will try your approach and see what happens.

It didn't work! I tried it and it still gets stuck at the menu. No response to keyboard.

UPDATE 1

I created a new OC usb installer using OC 0.5.9 and this time I have keyboard at the boot loader menu. But I get stuck furthet down during system loading. I guess the OpenCore framework needs lot's of work to become really a viable alternative to Clover. It does not even have a GUI configurator. We are back to the early days of hacking. Using text based tools, plist editors (ProperTree, etc.) and prerequisites (Python 3.8 etc) and Windows machines to create a macOS installer!!!
WTF! We are supposed to open the Hackintosh project to the laymen, not needing geeks to build a fraking Hackintosh. And what about the Laptops? Who is going to venture into building a HackBook using OpenCore? What kind of patches they are going to need and where to put them in OC config.plst? I tried it on my wife's HP Spectre x360 (2015) and I get a kernel panic after it loads a bunch of stuff, but I don't know what is missing! On the other hand, using Clover I managed to reach the Utilities screen and then I get stuck. But at least it passed the first section of system loading.

I am writing this comment on my Clover based, fully (almost, no iMessage and no FaceTime) functional Mojave 10.14.6 on Gigabyte 990XA-UD3 motherboard with FX-6300 CPU. Shutdown / Reboot work, sound works (VoodooHDA) fine, camera (Microsoft Lifecam VX-700, which is a bitch when it comes to macOS compatibility) works, bluetooth (USB dongle) works, App Store works. So, I still think Clover is leaps and bounds ahead of OpenCore, at least when it comes to AMD CPU hackintoshing and Laptops.
