Hi guys! I'm new here, and I'm interested in building an AMD hackintosh. My budget is around $1500, and I've already bought $280 worth of parts (2 500gb SSDs, fenvi T919 WiFi card & mid-ATX be quiet! case) so that brings it down to about $1280. I am an intel guy in general and am interested in seeing if I can get better specs for the buck out of AMD. What build(s) would you guys recommend where everything (or almost everything) works in Catalina/Big Sur? I will be using it on windows and macOS for Unity game dev, video editing, audio editing, and Zoom classes. I'm thinking that a Ryzen 7 or 9 would be most appropriate? Please let me know what CPU, motherboard, RAM, power supply, and GPU will give be the best bang for the buck.

It is best to wait until the new 5000’s CPU’s are on the market. These really offer unbelievable, at the moment I would even 100% claim the best value for money. The Ryzen 7 5800 X is best for all areas of application! It provides enough power for max 8K gaming and 8K video editing at the same time. For example, paired with an RX 6800 XT you will get 100% identical performance regardless of whether under Windows or Mac OS Big Sur, provided Opencore is configured correctly. But I will support you when it comes to that I really like you!;)

But will they support macOS?

It is ideal to stand by until the new 5000's CPU's are available. These truly offer extraordinary, right now I would even 100% case the best an incentive for cash. The Ryzen 7 5800 X is best for all regions of utilization! It gives enough capacity to max 8K gaming and 8K video altering simultaneously. For instance, matched with a RX 6800 XT you will get 100% indistinguishable execution whether or not under Windows or Mac OS Big Sur if Open core is designed accurately. In any case, I will uphold you with regards to that I truly like you!

Is this system intel? Or AMD Ryzen 3900XT? Because I can't get these scores with my Ryzen 3900XT.

My motherboard is the same as your Geekbench test, my CPU is R9 3900XT 12 Core, but I can score 90987. If you have the EFI folder, can you share it? I want to try it on my system, is my EFI the problem?

Maybe you already know it or not, just remember that if you plan on building a Ryzentosh or Hackintosh, make sure your parts for your computer are MacOS compatible...design your build with MacOS compatibility in mind.
