Hi,
I am having difficulty getting my system to boot from the USB stick that I’ve created an installer on.
When I use the method for creating an installer on windows, BIOS doesn’t see the drive at all to boot. When I create one using the Mac method, bios sees it as a boot option but when I select it the boot menu just refreshes. I can click the windows drive I have installed and plan on erasing and installing MacOS and it boots just fine.
MSI B450 Tomohawk Max, 3200G, 16GB RAM, Radeon VII
Any help would be appreciated. About a year ago I tried doing a hackentosh and at least got into the installer. I’m not sure how to trouble shoot further, tried the EFI folder I created, one posted on here in a success story with basically the same hardware, AND a completely vanilla EFI just to see if the system could see it. Nothing.
