Solved Logic Pro X Crashes on Startup - Ryzentosh Catalina

Hey respected community!

I am finishing my Ryzentosh build (2nd Hackintosh build ever), and I am facing this issue.

Logic Pro X crashes as soon as it opens up a project. I tried dumping preferences as per various threads online, but no luck.

My hardware:
ASUS TUF B550-Plus
AMD Ryzen 5600
Corsair Vengeance LPX 3200 (64 GB Total)
Asus RX580
Samsung 970 EVO
Asus ThunderboltEX 3-TR

OS X 10.15 Catalina

I used Opencore for setup, went relatively smoothly (apart from ThunderboltEX!)

I am keen to write up a proper guide on my system, but this needs to be resolved first.
Another issue that I am facing is a chirping sound from my speakers, but that's another story to work on meanwhile.

Hi all,

Problem was solved with the help of incredible members of the community.

If Logic crashes on startup, one has to

• Log out from all Apple services in System Preferences (Apple ID mainly)
• Obtain a different system serial number (https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Post-Install/universal/iservices.html#generate-a-new-serial) - option 3 is required
• Reinstall the system from your USB with updated config.plist.

This solves the problem.
