New member, and this is my first AMD purchase. My need is to add some DAW software to our Church audio/video capabilities. We are growing our streaming capabilities out of necessity due to the pandemic. The Video guy is MAC, and the musicians are Pro Tools advocates. I am Microsoft, and some Linux but have resisted the MAC. Recently became a little bored with the i-series processors for Intel, and liked what I saw with the AMD Ryzen processors. My system:
Ryzen 3900X 12-core 3.8GHz
64GB Ram PC4-24000
ASUS B550-PLUS
1TB SAMSUNG 970 EVO M.2 SSD
2TB 7200 SATA3
Liquid Cooled
purchasing Pro Tools - to keep the musicians happy. AVID says they only support MAC, and Intel. Hence, I am here to see if my rig can emulate the MAC OS and keep PT happy.
I am hoping to find some good info on where to start with getting this rig to look like a MAC.
