Hi
Just finished my ryzentosh 3950x, open core 0.5.7.
My issue is this: i need to control my fans. I would really like to do it in a program. Like iStat. ( they claim to support Hackintosh). If i use Fakesmc i can see rhe fans but not control them. Tried Virtualsmc, fans does not show at all.
Anyone know how to solve this?

Best regards
Bjørn

I've never come across a way to do this. Any app for macOS relies on the SMC chip. You are best to set a fan curve in your BIOS to control this.

Hi.
That really frustrating. I tried to set a fancurve in bios(Asus) motherboard. I cant say ia am very impressed with q fan. This is a dualboot with watercooling. And the ek res/pump combo spins up/down ....all the time. Really annoying. And q fan does not seem to play along either....
Thanx for the information.

So far I haven't found anything that can realistically control the fans beside in BIOS. Would like to see if others have suggestions / know-how as well

Set a flat plateau to run from 0-60 degrees @ 40% (or whatever level you want your fans working at). For everyday use, it'll just stay in that range and your fans won't ramp up/down, which is annoying.
