Thanks! And you are correct! I double checked the patches and realize that I wasn't using th experimental patches...After fixing this...Big Sur is now installed and working...and best part it looks like Sleep is fixed too.

What graphics are you using? I'm still getting the garbled installer screen with a 5600XT.

I'm using a Gigabyte RX5600XT so that should be similar to yours. I'm attaching my config.plist. When you mean installer screen, you're referring to the graphics mode? Trying switching to Gen3 on the BIOS and see if that helps.

So I had it set to Gen3, and changing to Auto/Gen4 didn't solve it.

I didn't do all of the regression testing, but it looks like AppleWatchdog was the missing piece.

Also, the installer would quit back to the start when selecting the disk because of my Corsair Commander Pro and Lighting Nodes being plugged in. Unplugging those from the USB2 headers fixed that issue.

I have a working Big Sur install after 2 months of toiling. FINALLY.

EDIT:
I also DISABLED 'Above 4G Decoding' in the BIOS and used the npci=0x2000 string in the boot args.

You can easily tell by looking at the "MaxKernel" version. Experimental patches will show 20.99.99, while the non-experimental patches will show 19.99.99.

i verify and I’m using the good patch...
But in fact I have a strange error that I’ve never seen before :

when I choose EFI on my usb installer, I have :
OCB : startimage failed - already started
Halting on critical error

And I don’t what it means ...

What choices do you have at the boot menu? You should be selecting the "Install macOS Big Sur Beta"..

I have my macOS (with Mojave on a name)
Efi
Efi (external)
Install MacOS (external) from the usb boot installer

and then, if I choose the install macOS, I have a log:exitbs:start error

And nothing works despite the Dortania guide

Do you have an EFI folder for open core at the root of the EFI volume?

I’ve forgotten to do that when swapping configs and it gives an error like that.

I noticed something, there is no ASUS mainboards on Big Sur, and I saw something about a ssdt for ASUS ?

and maybe setupvirtualmap, I’ll see as soon as I’m home

Why don't you post your EFI / config.plist to have a look...

The config.plist looks ok.....i do notice that your kexts are not the same from the one distributed on the Dortonia guide. Maybe, make a stripped version of the EFI first, with just the mandatory kexts and SSDTs and put it on the USB Installer and boot from that USD and try and get past the LOG:EXITBS:START block.

It's resolve XLNC give the solace : update the kernel patch For AMD FX.

Did you install Big Sur with USB Stick or with realMac or VMware?

I try to boot from the USB Install Stick without success.

I come to: [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] and then nothing goes anymore.

I am stuck at the same location with EXITBS:START. I have tried different combinations described in the OpenCore Install Guide. My machine boots into Catalina with no problem. Is there a problem with the Bulldozer patch? Could Pehem17260 can elaborate on how this was solved?

From your config.plist file, you're not using the experimental patches for Big Sur (19.99.99 instead of 20.99.99 in the Kernel->Patch)..you can find them here..https://github.com/AMD-OSX/AMD_Vanilla/tree/experimental-opencore

I got the patch, but there is no 20.99.99, Do I have to change alle 19.99.99 to 20.99.99, that this patch will work?

I have also the Problem with:
[EB]#LOG:EXTIBS:START]

Greeting from Germany, maclinux1960

Try disabling 'Above 4G Decoding' in the BIOS and use the npci=0x2000 string in the boot args.

I don't have no 'Above 4G Decoding' in my BIOS, I checked the Manual about the BIOS, I'm sure.
I will take a try on the patch.plist and change 19.99.99 to 20.99.99

Hi maclinux1960,

Did you get anywhere by changing 19 to 20 in the kernel patches? I tried your idea by matching the experimental 17h modifications as closely as possible. I'm assuming the "10.16" that I added to the comments will have no effect.

When I run it, this is what I got:

OC: Kernel patcher result 6 for kernel (algrey - - skip cpuid_cores_per_package test -10.15/10.16) - Not Found
OC: Kernel patcher result 28 for kernel (algrey - lapic_init - remove version check and panic - 10.16) - Not Found

It still ended with:

AAPL: [EB|#LOG:EXITBS:START] 2020-08-27T12:50:54

Thanks
