i am not usually using the sleep mode for my pc so its a no big deal for me, as long as this appleigb does not make a connection drop outs.Dam, That won’t do. Stupid Intel ethernet port…😂
Fingers crossed for beta 10 bringing the smalltree kext back to life in that case but I very much doubt that will be the case. We will need a proper replacement or fix on the smalltree kext Me thinks.
Your lucky, When I think about things like this I don’t think about myself I think as a whole for everybody so generally it breaking via sleep is a deal breaker. For myself I have 2 ethernet ports and use my Realtek 2.5gb port as my primary port and my intel port is disabled so I couldn’t care less for myself as it has no effect on me…loli am not usually using the sleep mode for my pc so its a no big deal for me, as long as this appleigb does not make a connection drop outs.

i got some speedtest results with different speeds settings at manual config:
100baseTX, half-duplex : DL = 43; UL = 14.6
100baseTX, full-duplex: DL 50; UL = 58/xx
1000baseT: DL = 117/118 ; UL = 58.9/59 , MTU- std 1500 and Jumbo 9000 yield same response.
so i guess, i can stick for this kext for awhile.
while hopeful for the smalltree to came alive on beta10
note: the readings above based on my internet plan
Not on my x570 asrock steel legend, when it dies it dies hard and never comes back (left it for an hour and it didn't come back to life without me changing the hardware in system preferences -> networkAppleIGB has occasional lag spikes for a few seconds, but it is usable.
