Good to know about the ACPI part. That's also kind of what I'm afraid.
But you said sleep works fine before the SSDT creation, I need to find other possible reasons for the sleep issue.
Anyway, thanks for your reply!
Have you done proper mapping for your USB and does sleep work if you remove the nvidia card?

I have done the USB map, and the NV card was disabled by config.plist. It's hard to remove, since the custom water loop.

I'm thinking It might be the USB IO name, which now I have SCHI XHC0 and XHC0. I will do the SSDT first to see if that works.

BTW, where did you find the guide to compile the SSDT-SBRG?

I didnt use any guides on compiling the SSDTs I did it all myself. (Except for SSDT-EC-USBX, I just used the bog standard one)
Erm, Try the OpenCore getting started with ACPI guide.

I'm sure that will explain it all for you. :)

If your gonna try my XHC SSDT then it might not work on your system as I have mapped native port entries for Aorus boards in XHC as well as doing the renames. If you try it and It don’t work for you then use ssdttime and create SSDT-USB-RESET and that will rename your ports automatically and reset usb using RHUB.

Holy cow, @AudioGod! For more than a year I've been trying to get sleep to work. And now you just come around the corner with an EFI that's even working with Catalina! 🙏
THANK YOU!

Sure. I'm going to create my own SSDT also. Followed the opencore ACPI guide. Hope this can solve my problem.

Thanks again for your reply.

Hey @AudioGod, out of nowhere, no updates, no tinkering with EFI or anything like that, I've started running into this kernel panic/not being able to boot problem. Any clue? When I restart my computer and do the BIOS settings all over, it seems to fix the issue and I can boot with no problem, but as soon as I shut down, it's back to square one.

What bios revision are you using?

It's been F11 for quite awhile. Didn't do any tinkering. I didn't use it for a couple days and it just happened. It boots up no problem now, but shutdown doesn't work? It restarts, never shutdown. Which is weird. Didn't install anything new or anything either.

Hhmmmmm, could be a usb issue or could be a dirty install. Have you tried clearing your nvram at the Oc bootpicker and rebuilt your cache and checked your power settings via hackintool?
If I remember correctly your using a X570 Elite right?

I took out any extra USBs and still got the same result. I cleared the NVRam, but didn't rebuild cache. I haven't checked the power settings either. And yeah, Aorus x570 elite.

Extra USB’s?

Do me a favour if you could and open hackintool, take a screen shot of your listed USB ports and show me please buddy?

Yeah, just any USB storages or anything like that. Gonna do that right now.

Thanks again for being such a fantastic help and helping me learn!

No worries :)

Sorry I forgot to say, please plug a usb device into the USB port far left of the ethernet port when you take the screen shot as it gives me a guide believe it or not to your layout.

@pancheesy4sheezy Replace SSDT-XHC with this new one and add the USBPort.kext to your kext folder, enable it in the config.plist and then restart, clear your nvram and boot back up and go back into Hackintool and take a new screenshot of the usb with a usb Device connected to the USB port far left of the network port and show me please.
this should be the exact mapping for your card, I've done it blind and looking at the usb layout via a pdf so I might have to correct it yet.
Take 1...lol

I think it may have been successful? It detects my sandisk cruzer fit storage on the 3.1 slot near the network. Gonna test shutdown right now.

update: shutdown still restarting computer. this is incredibly weird.

That is weird about shutdown.
Do you have a spare disk you can test with cos I'm thinking its a install flaw not a EFI flaw.
I know, using a usb install key start the installer and then when it gets to the main install page quit it and shut down and see if that works. if it does then for sure its something in your macOS install causing it.

About USB, That is wrong and not showing the correct mapping that I made for you, did you enable the USBMap.kext in the config.plist?
you need to click on The broom in hackintool and then the circle arrows next to it to show the usb properly.
please do so and then screenshot it again so I can see the mapping properly.
your see what I mean when you do what I said in hackintool. (That is with the USBMap.kext in the kext folder and enabled in the config.plist)
