Try going into your BIOS boot menu and selecting the OpenCore on the primary drive where you have MacOS installed.

Bios only shows one boot device which is the install USB, if removed the system won't boot into anything it just hangs

Other issues I am running into:

I'm unable to load the itlwm.kext file into /System/Library/Extensions/ to get wifi to work. I've tried using cp and also tried dragging and dropping into the directory. The directory seems like it's read only

When trying to run boot camp I am getting an error telling me to remove external drives before proceeding. This problem persists even after I unmount and remove the install USB

When you boot from the USB and installed MacOs on your main drive, you will need to unhide the EFI partition of that main drive and copy over the EFI folder from the USB drive. Then you will boot normally.

So overwrite the existing EFI that is on the MacOS disk with the one from the install disk? Do I need to keep anything from the existing EFI folder that the installer created?

I usually leave what's in there which should just be a MacOs or similar named folder. And copy over the OC and boot folders

Got the boot problem and the wifi working.

For the boot problem I did as instructed and replaced the EFI folder on. the MacOS drive with the installer EFI folder.

To get wifi working I did the following:
  1. Booted the mac into recovery mode
  2. opened terminal in recovery mode
  3. turned off SIP for kexts using
    Code:
    csrutil enable --without kext
  4. rebooted the OS and installed the kext using
    Code:
    sudo kextload /Library/Extensions/itlwm.kext
Still working out the issue with bootcamp.

I made it farther this time though. I was instructed by boot camp to login to recovery mode and allow booting from external media (see below)

When doing so I get presented with an error saying something along the lines of I have incorrect firmware to perform the action. Has anyone else ran into that?

Oops, I replaced the whole thing. Live and learn, I guess I'll see if it causes any issues!

You don't need to use Bootcamp. It's a "Windows" PC so install as normal. OpenCore will pick it up to boot.

Hello,

I built audiogods build almost identical a few months ago.

Ryzen 5900x
Asus ROG Strix X570-E Gaming
AMD Radeon 6800xt
Big Sur OS

until recently everything ran without any problem.

Then I had some crashes under Windows, which became so extreme that I sometimes couldn't manage to make any settings in the BIOS, because it was already crashing there. I then moved the RAM from slots 1 and 3 to 1 and 2 (single channel) and did a BIOS update to ver. 4021.

At some point, however, I seem to have caused my macOS to no longer boot. My guess is due to the BIOS update.

After selecting the partition in OpenCore, it boots but hangs at 50% or 75% of the progress bar and does not continue to load, even after 20 minutes. The funny thing is: After about 5 minutes, the mouse pops up, but Apple logo and 50% progress bar are still there and it doesn't continue from here.

I then re-injected the EFI, made all the settings suggested by audiogod in the BIOS and fired up Open Core debugging, but can't make sense of where the error lies.

I would be very happy if someone could offer me a solution.

Next step would be to send in the motherboard, since there is obviously a problem with the RAM here and presumably slots are defective and/or reinstall macOS.

Many thanks in advance!

Reset your BIOS and try these settings. When updating the BIOS it can reset to default.

If that does not work use the clean EFI for 0.7.7 from and try booting.

Unfortunately, I had already performed all these steps several times (including NVRAM reset) and replaced the contents of the old EFI on my bootstick with the EFI I had posted in the meantime (0.7.7). in the config.plist I have entered the Serial/Mac-Address again

what i can do - is boot the installer, there it loads through. MacOS unfortunately still not. :-(

What OS are you upgrading from?

The only issue is with 1GB Ethernet which has been broken in the public releases of MacOS Big Sur and Monterey.

Other than that everything else works properly.

I'd be upgrading from Big Sur so I likely won't notice any difference

Hello,
Do you use any application to a complete backup of the entire system that restores the entire disk without problem? Which app is the best? Thanks

Good afternoon young man.

Do you intend to clone your Hackintosh HD, SSD or NVME just for BACKUP or to upgrade your accessory?

On Linux you can use the command

dd if=/dev/sda of=/dev/sdb bs=4096 conv=sync,noerror

Where SDA is the Origin
And SDB is the destination
but you have to check on your machine which they are using command

fdisk -l

You can also make an image of your HD

The command is like this:
dd if=/dev/sda of=hd.img

This will copy the hd in /dev/sda to the hd.img file in the local directory.

To copy the file to a hd is like this:

dd if=hd.img of=/dev/sda
This will copy the contents of the hd.img to the hd in /dev/sda

In Windows there are several HDClone Software
