I just installed a Ryzen 7 5700X onto my A320I-K Motherboard. Monterey 12.4 runs beautifully, but when I open AMD Power Gadget Apps monitoring windows, it adds 15 C to the temp and some Watts. When I close the windows but leave the App running in the menu bar, the temp and watts return to normal, between 35-40 C and around 25W.

It is caused by the new drawing method introduced a couple of versions ago and well known. I used to patch back the old drawing algorithm but since it ran in the menu bar I just leaved it there since.

Thanks @Aluveitie. Temps and activity seem pretty normal with just the menu bar app open. I will get round to reporting the issue on TrulySpinach GitHub. I'm guessing my Ryzen 7 5700X isn't supported yet.

That is the SMC chip on your board controlling fan speeds, temps etc. The gadget only supports a few chips to control fan speeds.

With Apples 5th Beta update, 22A5342f, AMD Power Gadget has been working really well. I also updated the AMD Chipset drivers in Windows 11 Pro, could of had something to do with it.
