I had 10.15.5 working great on my rig with Ryzen 9 3900x, 32 GB 3200 MHz RAM, Asus X570-p, fast NVMe and RX 580 GPU.
This morning, I stopped having OC in my reFind bootloader for unknown reason and the whole thing is weird, jittery, stuttering GPU, slow, almost like on a spinning HDD. Benchmarks are unchanged and fine. NVMe speeds according to Sys Information is fine, Metal is supported. I'm dualbooting with Win 10 and there have been no setup changes, SW or HW.
Any clues what this might be? Thanks!
EDIT: it was caused by a Samsung T5 USB-C SSD plugged in. After unplugging, everything is fine. I had no idea the system could be THIS brittle. Guess I'll need to properly map my USB after all.
EDIT 2: meh, it's not that. The system is just slow, as if running from a HDD. Benchmarks of the M2 SSD are fine. Any tips?
