hello, bonjour,

Thanks to the site https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/AMD/zen.html&prev=search&pto=aue,
I succeeded in my first Hackintosh.
Thank you very much to them for spreading their knowledge.

This is my configuration :
Motherboard : Gigabyte TRX40 Designare
Processor : AMD Threadripper 3960x
Ram Corsair : DDR4 3200MHz 128Go
Graphics Card : AMD Radeon Pro WX 9100
Disk : NVMe M.2 SSD Corsair MP 600 1T (WIndows 10)
NVMe M.2 SSD Corsair MP 600 1T (Big Sur 11.0.1)
NVMe M.2 SSD Corsair MP 600 1T
Thunderbolt 3 Rev 1.0 : GC-Titan Ridge (with Flash firmware TitanRidgeNVM23-E64Fr)
External Raid : Promise Pegasus 2 R6 12 T
Card Capture and playback : Blackmagic UltraStudio 4k Mini
PC case : Dark Base pro 900 PC case

Works:
  • iServices except Handoff
  • Wifi
  • SMC control using AMD Power Gadget
  • Adobe Première
  • FCP X
  • Compressor
  • Motion
  • Resolve 16.2.7
  • Card Thunderbolt GC-Titan Ridge (Plug&Play)
  • Blackmagic UltraStudio 4k Mini connected in thunderbolt 3 to 2 with an adapter.
  • ditto for the external raid connected in thunderbolt 3 to 2 with an adapter.
  • Photoshop

No Works :
  • iStat menu does not work completely
  • Now it works according to Fabiosun's advice. (Merci beaucoup Fabiosun)

Follow in the footsteps of the Dortonia site, it is very well detailed.
Have time for that and you have a very good basis with my efi.
you can compare it: OCConfigCompare.command

Dortania site is not so accurate for TRX40 users
I would like to suggest to read in this thread:

Here you will find how to solve your last problems
Pay particular attention to MMIO white list part
In this way you could be able to shutdown/restart/sleep and wake your system ;)

I succeeded in my hack from the Dortonia sit
There is a special step-by-step for AMD Zen 1.2 and 3 generation processors.

thanks for the info, i will read this new literature on the site MacOs86.

it's just the shutdown that I have a problem with the PC case :)

if it works..happy for you..but..it is not so accurate if you have not done anything in your MMIO Whitelist..
Also quirk section is not accurate..
I like Dortania guides in many parts..but to say it is accurate for TRX40 users is wrong

try to sleep/wake..or see your log (when you reboot your system it always KP..
but hey..if you are happy.. :)

Ok, I'll try to configure,
I am really new to hacking and completely ignorant of the computer language. :)

Hi Arrakis,

great job.

Do you have some benchmark to post?
Can you check at which speed the two TB3 ports on the TB3 AIC are working (i.e. 20Gbps or 40Gbps each)

I got the same strange shutdown issue on one of my builds (x570 Creator): though I have tried everythin, for some strange reason just shutdown worked at OS level but didn‘t send the ACPI command (status on the MOBO changes to 05), thus had to manually shut down.

Best,
alex

I haven't benchmarked yet. I have yet to test the true speed of Thunderbolt 3
I'm sure it's at least 20Gbps as I find exactly the write / read speed with the Blackmagic disk speed Test on my Promise Pegasus 2 than on my 2013 MacPro.

Sorry AMDPUSH, I am not using any Steinberg software :)

without any SSDT it should be like the pictures attached here (up to 20 Gb/s x2)
with a proper SSDT you will see up to 40 Gb/s

and here is my whitelist Mmio.
the day before still does not work.

For the thunderbolt, I got it wrong because I have some strange info. It is recognized on the USB-C ports at ridiculous speeds for the Blackmagic interface 4k and my Raid Promise, I do not see it but it is well mounted with the same read and write speed as on my 2013 MacPro.
Why am I going to find out?

Indeed I did not have flash to the Titan Ridge card to be recognized natively by OSX.
Thanks Fabiosun.:)

Hello,

I wanted to test Big Sur. I started from zero for the creation of my EFI because it must be under OpenCore 0.6.4.
I recreated this EFi under Open Core 0.6.4 with as a comparison the old EFI (OpenCore 0.6.3)
The result is beyond my hopes.
I have partition in two my Nvme on which was already installed Catalina 10.15.7 (19:15).
I installed on the second BigSur partition (11.0.1). Installation like a letter in the mail the first time,
I expected one of the installation problems well nothing :)

Course result, I can start on Catalina or Big Sur. with the same and unique EFI without the modifier.
In the very short term, I will delete Catalina.

OpenCore version 0.6.4
Kexts installed:

AirportItlwm-Catalina.kext
AirportItlwm-Big Sur.kext
AMDRyzenCPUPowerManagement.kext
AppleALC.kext
IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext
IntelBluetoothInjector.kext
Lilu.kext
NVMeFix.kext
SmallTreeIntel82576.kext
SMCAMDProcessor.kext
VirtualSMC.kext
WhateverGreen.kext

Configuration bios
C.S.M: disabled
Quick start: disabled
Decoding greater than 4G: enable
XHCI Hand off: activate
Sata Mode: AHCI
S.V.M: disabled
Wake on Lan: disabled
Safety device: disabled
Port 60/64 emulation: disabled
Iommu: enable

What does not work to date:
AirDrop functional but no devices detected.
Wake up: a little better for the attempt compared to Catalina.
The system wakes up immediately. Extinction of screens. One click on the mouse or keyboard and it's off again.
Under Catalina it was compulsory extinction because the system was no longer responding.
