Oh, I see. Unfortunately my motherboard only has XHC controllers. I already tried all the USB ports. Even tried USB C dongle without success. This at least gives me some hint. Thank you!

Using Focusrite Scarlett 18i8 USB audio interface. The interface is recognised by the system and works. I am able to change some of the settings using the Audio MIDI Setup system utility, but to change more specific options like routing I need to use the Focusrite Control application. However...

Waves plugins crashing DAW [Ableton Live and Reaper]

Using Waves V11 plugins in Reaper and Ableton Live loading some of the plugins crashes the DAW. E.g. the H-Reverb and IR1 plugins. I had those working on my previous i5 with High Sierra. Running the apps from terminal. Tried using the MKL_DEBUG_CPU_TYPE=5 variable. With this the DAWs exit with...
