    How to update Open Core??

That was in OC 0.6.6, but anyway it's pretty easy. Set LauncherOption to Disabled, boot into OC picker and reset NVRAM, after that set LauncherOption to either Full if you used Bootstrap before, or Short if you used BootstrapShort. Reboot again and done...

    Temperature spikes Ryzen 7

Even when overclocked the CPU should be below 30W when idle as it internally saves power when there is low load.

As far as I remember this will just not provide the Mac SMBIOS, but ACPI modifications will still be applied. But if SSDTs were written properly this is not an issue. This would fix for example Asus Armory Crate not working properly when booting through OC. But you can't install BootCamp on...

@baronerosso You can select the boot drive after post with F8 on Asus boards for example. Another alternative would be using rEFInd.

Ryzen 9 3950X, Asus ROG Strix X570-I, XFX Radeon VII

Thanks to TheAppleGadget I found a little App that allows to control RGB on MacOS for this board: Link: https://github.com/notjosh/Aureal It is working but very basic, since read out of the number of addressable lights does not work I had to modify and recompile it for everything to light up.

    AMD PowergadgetPowerManagement app permissions

Weird, first time I hear about such issues. On both my X570 boards fan controlling by BIOS worked fine too.

    AMD PowergadgetPowerManagement app permissions

You can deactivate the popup by adding -amdpnopchk to the boot-args. I think most set up a fan curve in the BIOS because you can do that based on temperature, having fans running quieter when not needed. With the Power Gadget you can just set a fixed fan speed which is only helpful in some edge...

    AMD PowergadgetPowerManagement app permissions

Automatic power adjustment, which does down clock the CPU, has been enabled by default. That has nothing to do with controlling the fans.

    AMD PowergadgetPowerManagement app permissions

As far as I know the fan speeds are not persisted. Simplest way to achieve this is setting the desired values in the BIOS.

I don't think it was Steve Jobs ego. Motorola and IBM weren't putting much effort into Desktop PPC chips since it wasn't very profitable as Apple was their only customer, and a small one at that. Apple was still very low on cash at that time and could never have funded the necessary development...

@z-plane Highest performance cards for MacOS are currently the Radeon VII (which was only in production for a couple of months in 2019) and the Radeon 5700 XT. Both have similar gaming performance, though the VII shines in compute task with higher FP64 performance and 1 TB/s 16GB HBM memory...

Interesting, why would you have to redesign the GPU or AS? Adapt iBoot to handle UEFI GPUs probably, but other than that the GPU is just another PCIe device.
