Hi everyone,
I'm having an issue with the final version of macOS Monterey.
The installer is unable to detect my NVME drives, only external USB devices are shown in disk utility.
System report won't detect any nvme controller.
Those same Crucial P5 drives work fine on macOS BigSur.
No changes when disabling TPM in bios.
My setup :
AMD X570 / 5950X / Radeon 6800XT / 2x Crucial P5 NVME drives / OC 0.7.4
Anyone having this issue ? any help ?

There is nothing you can do at this moment. Some people say that very old versions of BIOS works but you cant use that as you use ryzen 5000 cpu which requires certain version of bios. I tried to downgrade bios of my x570A-pro to the oldest one but still with 5000 support, but no luck anyway.

Yeah and beta bios does not get things done either.

I guess we'll have to petition MSI then :)

MSI has nothing to do with that i guess. We will need to wait for kext or opencore update that will fix that. But it may take some time after someone figure out whats going on. If you really want to get a monterey you can install the beta 1 or 2 release as far as i remember. They work. Newest ones unfortunately does not.

Well it's allright I'll wait a couple of months and if no fix is found I'll switch to another known-working X570 Mainboard.

That issue appeared with Beta 3. That was in July and no fix was found since then. Just to give some context.

Can you try to use this kext?

In my case it's works.

I previously did yes and it did not work with my setup. Did you go from no NVME at all to perfectly working thanks to this kext ?

Very unlikely to seriously start investigating an issue that might not have been present in the final release. I'm pretty sure some patching / spoofing is all is needed.

@Leborgne23 It was seriously investigated by Shaneee (his MSI board was affected too) and other devs here. In the end he bought an Asus board. So you can make your conclusions from that.
Just simple patching / spoofing does not work.

Ok I did not know that. BTW 12.1 beta just got out with the tiny hope Apple unintentionally solved our issue. Any feedback would be welcome.
