Hi everyone, I'm Michele, an Italian guy and I'm a new member of the forum. I decided to enter the forum because I would really like to build a PC with both Big Sur and windows. At the moment my pc consists of a Ryzen 3 3100 and a gtx 1070, but I plan to buy an amd card to install in the second slot of my mobo and to use in mac os. A card like the rx 570, I don't think I can go further because I don't know if my Corsair CV 550 power supply would handle 2 Gpu. Unfortunately, two things are not clear to me:
1) how to disable the Nvidia gpu so that it does not bother the Mac os boot in the installation process.
2) Because even if disabled the Graphics Card continues to produce heat and therefore to work.

I’don’t know what to do. I could even consider selling my 1070 Rog strix to buy a more performing amd graphics card. I await your advice.

Hello and Welcome. Although it is indeed possible to run both cards. As you've stated even when disabled in macOS the Nvidia GPU will still draw power. At the end of the day the choice is yours.
The Dortania guide has a section on disabling the GPU. Using Device Properties seems to work best, https://dortania.github.io/OpenCore-Install-Guide/extras/spoof.html

As regards the question of the power supply do you think I can use a rx 560 ?. (My pc under load pulls 250w from the wall) In case I could, how would mac os run with an R3 3100 and an Rx 560 ???

If ı were you,ı would sell the nvidia card and buy an amd one.
That would be more power-efficient and plain.
I know we are in a somewhat difficult situation for gpu prices. Do you have any advice on where I could buy a used amd gpu ??? I searched on eBay but the prices for Polaris GPUs are insanely high

I once had a GTX 1070 graphics card. When I found that I needed to run MacOS, I sold it, replaced it with a 5500kt 4GB, and replaced a motherboard with the rest of the money, I recommend you go to aliexpress

It would be a real shame to sell it. My strix card , since I changed the thermal paste by applying the thermal grizly one and added thermal pads on all the memory modules and Vrms, it goes beyond 2000mhz (core clock) remaining stable in games. Because of this I prefer to add in other graphics card to the system. I have fallen in love with Mac OS ever since I bought a MacBook Air early 2020 (Intel i5 quand core 1.1 ghz 8GB ram), however this laptop has awkward performance and is laggy even just using Microsoft teams for online lessons. Not to mention when I use google earth, (it really relax me using Earth) the experience is very bad, there is no comparison with my girlfriend's MacBook M1 pro.
Here is a picture of my graphics card and system.

If you don't pursue the latest system, you can use 10.13 6 drive GTX 1070

Help, the usb installer doesn’t show in Opencore boot menu.I followed the guide to install it on my Ryzen 3 with an amd video card (Rx 560) that I recently bought. Now I was trying to see if everything was ok using my gtx 1070 but I can't find the usbkey with all the necessary inside to boot in Mac OS recovery

Sorry, I can't see anything from the log. Can you share your EFI files

I simply solved it by reading another post on this forum, it was enough just to press the central bar in the boot menu or to directly enable the options in the config.pilist file

Can some one check my efi folder ???
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/eet5bcw56yfcduu/AAB0Tj-cke9NYEkcjYucFozea?dl=0

I am a bit doubtful about the Bluetooth kext. I haven't tried to start the installer from the bootloader menu yet because I'm waiting for my recently bought RX 560 to arrive. I uploaded the efi folder to Dropbox because I didn't know how to upload it here.
Among other things, you advise me to try to install according to Mac os with only the amd card installed in the slot that I will dedicate to the card , or to try with both graphics cards installed, or again by disabling my video card Nvidia for Opencore following their guide ???

Thank you in advance.
